beliefsPutting Your Beliefs to the Test – Top229

Taught by: Scott Holwick
Room: Room 9 (Serving Room)

Putting your Beliefs to the Test, are studies that compare and contrast the Christian worldview with the philosophies and ideologies of today’s competing worldviews.

Thinking Like a Christian, lays the groundwork for a clear understanding of the Bible as a total world and life view that speaks to all disciplines and areas of life: ethics, psychology, sociology, science, law, politics, economics, and history. It encourages Christians to engage theirculture by thinking biblically.

Countering Culture, looks at specific areas of our culture where Secular Humanism, Postmodernism, and New Age are gaining influence and gives Christians a deeper understanding of how to speak to nonbelievers about what Christ offers in both this life and the next.

actsActs (Part 1 of 2) – Exp 302

Taught by: Richard Mastronardo
Room: Fellowship Hall, North

Acts 1:1 (ESV) 1  In the first book, O Theophilus, I have dealt with all that Jesus began to do and teach.

Right from the first verse, we see how the book of Acts is part 2, dealing with what Jesus continued to do and teach through the Holy Spirit and the Apostles. Through the adventures and stories recounted, we learn theology and application of truths of the Gospel in the lives of Christians. We journey with Peter, and Paul as the gospel is taken from Jews to Gentiles, from Jerusalem, to Judah, Samaria and to the ends of the world.

Join us as we explore the roots and birth of the Church and the impact those lessons have on us today. This will be part 1 of 2, with the second part taking place during the spring semester next year.

“The Way of the Master”
– Top228

Taught by: Pastor Dick Bickings
Room: Fellowship Hall, South

Who do you know who isn’t saved?  Where will they go if they die without Christ?

Discover how to reach them biblically and confidently in The Way of the Master Basic Training Course, by Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron.

Learn to overcome your fears by using a simple, powerfully effective way to make the gospel make sense to those you care about. Kirk and Ray will teach you how to bypass the intellect (the place of argument) and speak directly to the conscience (the place of the knowledge of right and wrong)— the way Jesus did.

And they don’t just tell you how to witness—they show you. Through fascinating real-life conversations, you can “eavesdrop” as they witness to people from all walks of life—gang members, atheists, cult members, intellectuals, and others.

Join us as we look to obey Jesus’ commands to be witnesses and to share the Good News, with our families, friends, neighbors, and co-workers.

changeInstruments in the Redeemer’s Hands:
Helping Others Change
 – Top313

Taught by: Pastor Jason Hoy
Room: Room 2

We might be relieved if God placed our sanctification only in the hands of trained professionals, but that is not his plan.  Instead, though the ministry of every part of the body, the whole church will mature in Christ.

Paul Tripp helps us discover where change is needed in our own lives and the lives of others.  Following the example of Jesus, Tripp reveals how to get to know people, and how to lovingly speak truth to them.

This class is about how God uses people, who are themselves in need of change, as instruments of the same kind of change in others.

Join us as we look to impact not just the lives of others but our entire Church culture.
