Revelation (Part 3) Exp309

But more importantly, to understand what it means for us today and to learn how this book of Revelation should make a difference in our day-to-day lives. Romans (Part 3) – Exp310
Taught by: Pastor Dick Bickings
Room: Fellowship Hall, South

Romans, Paul’s magnum opus, is placed first among his thirteen epistles in the New Testament. While the four Gospels present the words and works of Jesus Christ, Romans explores the significance of his sacrificial death. Using a question-and-answer format, Paul records the most systematic presentation of doctrine in the Bible. But Romans is more than a book of theology: it is also a book of practical exhortations.

The good news of Jesus Christ is more than facts to be believed; it is also a life to be lived — a life of righteousness befitting the person “justified freely by His [God’s] grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus” (3:24), This class will focus on chapters 12-16.

micahMicah Exp216
Taught by: Mike Capaldi
Room 9 (Serving Room)

Micah, like his great contemporaries Isaiah and Amos, prophesied during the eighth century B.C., a time when Israel and Judah had risen to heights of economic affluence but had fallen to depths of spiritual decadence.

While Israel and Judah appeared to be strong externally, an internal decay was sapping their strength and threatening to destroy the social fabric of these two kingdoms. A burgeoning wealthy class was becoming richer at the expense of the poorer classes. The prophets saw this as a violation of the covenantal requirements and thus a hindrance to God’s blessing and a guarantee of the dissolution of the nation.

It was these social injustices of the ruling classes to which Micah gave the greatest attention. Join us as we delve into the richness of this book and find application for our world today.

Kinship Leader Training
– Top225
Taught by: Pastor Jason Hoy & Richard Mastronardo
Room 2

One of the hallmarks of the early church was the way they met, studied, and cared for each other. In our church this is covered through our Kinship and Small Group Ministries. Discipleship and being involved in the lives of others is part of the commands of Jesus that we strive to accomplish. To that end, we are inviting you to participate in a Kinship/Small group development class.

This class, will cover the aspects of Shepherding and Teaching. You will gain an understanding of how to care, nurture, and work with others and will also learn how to develop lessons, select materials, deal with difficult questions, and teach from God’s Word.

The purpose of this class is to help develop leadership and shepherding skills in order to encourage current Kinship Leaders and raise up new ones.
