SUMMARY:Sunday Night Theology
DESCRIPTION:Join us as Dr. Deepak Reju presents this month’s seminar on Singleness and the Body of Christ. How can singles and non-singles better love\, encourage\, and serve one another within the body of Christ? What does it look like for the church to flourish as one family\, united in Christ despite different life circumstances? In this practical and encouraging lecture\, Dr. Reju will explore how believers can build meaningful relationships across life stages and seasons\, fostering a church culture where everyone is valued\, connected\, and cared for. Whether you are single\, married\, widowed\, or somewhere in between\, this seminar will help you think biblically about loving and serving one another as members of Christ’s body. Sunday Night Theology seminars are held monthly on second Sundays in the Sanctuary. More details here.

Air mattresses or sleeping on the floor are not permitted.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLODGING: \n\n\n\nAccommodations are modest\, but lend to a very affordable get-away (prices are less than half of most other lodging this close to the beach.)  Standard rooms are small with just enough space for two twin beds\, a night stand\, and two luggage racks. Seven sets of rooms are adjoining\, which can be helpful for families (can be requested with reservation).  Please note that any participant over the age of 5 (or not in a pack and play) needs to have a reserved bed. Air mattresses or sleeping on the floor are not permitted. Be assured that everything is clean and safe and provided with wonderful Christian hospitality.  The following rooms are available on a first-come basis: (Reservation fee is per room\, not per person.) Please make sure you have food with you for lunches (or plan to eat out).\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBEACH ACCESS: \n\n\n\nBeach passes are included with your room.  When you arrive\, you will be issued one beach pass ticket for each night you are staying.  Please keep track of your tickets – they are your access to the beach.  If you lose these tickets\, you will need to pay to access to the beach ($13/day).  Please note that on Sundays the Ocean Grove beach does not open until 12pm.  So\, it’s a great time to go to church! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCHURCH  & CHRISTIAN ACTIVITIES: \n\n\n\n\nTwo Sunday Worship Services: There is a contemporary service on the boardwalk at 9am\, and a more traditional service in the Great Auditorium at 10:30am. Both are casual dress. Please note that if you are not staying Sunday night\, you will need to check out of your room on Sunday before going to church.  You can still use the kitchen\, dining room\, living room\, and 1st floor restroom after church.  Both services are good….and the beach doesn’t open until noon on Sunday.  If you’ve never been to a service at the Great Auditorium\, it is a majestic place\, and worth the experience.\n\n\n\nEvents Calendar: Additional Worship Services\, Bible Studies\, Concerts\, Discussions\, and Christian events are provided by the town during the summer.  Check this summer’s calendar: here.\n\n\n\nChristian Bookstore: The Hub is open Mon-Sat 10am-6pm\, Sun 12-1:30pm.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nQUIET HOURS: \n\n\n\nOur group may not be the only ones staying at Grove Hall\, and some people go to sleep earlier than others.  So 2 rules:  You can’t be out on the porches after 11pm (Ocean Grove rules)\, and if you’re inside please be quiet after 10:30pm.  If you’re playing games in the dining area\, don’t get too loud and try and keep the dining door closed.  Please remember that our group has consistently been asked to be more quiet in the past….so have late night fun\, but quiet fun. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOTHER RESTRICTIONS: \n\n\n\nOcean Grove is a dry town with no bars or liquor stores.  Alcohol is not permitted in public areas of Ocean Grove—that includes the beachfront.  No alcohol\, drugs\, or smoking is permitted on or near the premises of Grove Hall at any time.  No animals are allowed in the buildings. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLINKS ABOUT THE TOWN…. \n\n\n\nhttp://www.oceangrove.org/grove-hall   (Where we are staying)http://oceangrove.org/   (General Info)http://www.oceangrovenj.com  (More General Info) \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nQUESTIONS? \n\n\n\nContact our leader:Robyn Paul: 484-554-7553

SUMMARY:Summer Elective: A Praying Church
DESCRIPTION:This summer\, we encourage all adults and teens to join us as we rediscover what it means to be a praying church. While we often view prayer as a private conversation\, the Bible calls us to something more. When Jesus taught us to pray\, He began with “Our Father\,” inviting us into a shared experience of faith. Informed by Paul Miller’s book\, A Praying Church\, together\, we’ll explore how corporate prayer becomes the engine that drives our worship\, our decisions\, and our dependence upon the Holy Spirit. During our time together we will study God’s Word\, engage in honest discussion\, hear the testimony of answered prayer\, and spend intentional time praying together as one body. Taught by Pastor Mike and various teachers. Meets in the Gym.
