Whether you serve as a one-on-one buddy\, help with crafts\, or lead Bible studies or times of worship\, you will make a lasting difference in the name of Jesus. No experience is necessary! Training will be provided before the event begins. Great opportunity for families or church groups to serve together. Must be 16+. The goal is to help Christians engage and use digital technology with wisdom and discernment. Dr. Plummer serves as dean of the School of Divinity and professor of theology at Cairn University. He also hosts the “Defragmenting” podcast and has contributed to several books\, including The Digital Public Square: Christian Ethics in a Technological Society. SUMMARY:Sunday Night Theology
DESCRIPTION:Join us as Dr. Champ Thornton presents an overview of the book of Proverbs as he centers on the idea that wisdom is a skilled way of living that flows from a right relationship with God\, and ultimately points us to Jesus\, wisdom incarnate. Proverbs offers rich encouragement—and real challenges—especially when seeking to understand how all 31 chapters fit together. Dr. Thornton will help us see the book as a unified work of wisdom that reveals God’s purposes throughout. Dr. Thornton serves as Director of Children & Family Resources at Crossway publishing in Newark\, Delaware\, and is the author of numerous books for children and families. Juan Carlos studied at Metro Baltimore Seminary for a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology and is ordained as a pastor in the Bible Fellowship Church. Married to Lynette Morales and having three beautiful children\, Juan Carlos seeks to glorify God through teaching\, discipleship\, and evangelism! \n\n\n\nMUSICIANS: On the WayOn The Way (or OTW\, as the kids say) is Cairn University’s traveling worship band.
