SUMMARY:Summer Electives
DESCRIPTION:Join us for these weekly classes that offer solid Bible teaching that is dynamic\, interesting\, and helpful! Choose from 2 different classes this semester. No need to sign-up\, just come! \n\n\n\n1) Progressive Christianity and the Deconstruction Movement – This class is for teens & adults. You don’t need to look far to see that Biblical Christianity is under attack in America. The culture has quickly abandoned Christian ethics and openly opposes any Biblical influence on morality. While this is devastating\, what is more alarming is the assault on Biblical Christianity from within the church. More and more influential Christian leaders are beginning to embrace cultural movements at the expense of Biblical authority. As the Word has become less authoritative in their thinking\, they proclaim progressive beliefs no longer bound by “antiquated” Scriptures. The natural progression of these practices is a complete deconstruction of their faith. This class will take a look at the progressive Christian movement\, deconstruction\, and how the Biblical Church must respond. Taught by Pastor Mike Notary and Chris Riedy. Meets in Gym-South. This class concludes July 14\, 2024. \n\n\n\n2) Ezekiel\, Part 3 of 3 – The class on Ezekiel is continuing; new participants are always welcome. Ezekiel prophesied while he and many other Jews were exiles in Babylon during the last days of Judah’s decline and downfall. His ministry was\, in some ways\, similar to that of his older contemporary Jeremiah who prophesied in Jerusalem. But while Jeremiah delivered a chilling message of the destruction of Jerusalem\, Ezekiel brought a warming message of eventual reconstruction. Jeremiah was a man of tears; Ezekiel was a man of visions. And those visions stretched from horror to hope\, and from condemnation upon Judah’s faithless leaders and godless foes\, to consolation regarding Judah’s (and Israel’s) future. Through it all\, God demonstrated\, through what He revealed and carried out\, that He is sovereign and omnipotent and works all things for His often stated purpose that “they shall know that I am the Lord” (6:10). Ezekiel\, as a watchman for Israel\, warned her of the judgment that was imminent and stressed the need for individual responsibility as well as national accountability before God. Each Israelite was personally to turn to the Lord. Likewise\, the whole nation needed to ultimately return to Him. Join us as we study the message of this watchman to Israel and the nations that spans from the time of his ministry through the time of Christ’s glorious return and reign on the earth. Taught by Scott Holwick. Meets in Gym-North. This class concludes on Sept. 1\, 2024.

SUMMARY:Baby Bottle Campaign
DESCRIPTION:Help raise funds for Bright Hope Pregnancy Centers of the Lehigh Valley and enable them to keep ministering to local young men & women with unplanned pregnancies. Please pick up a baby bottle in the church lobby\, fill it with cash/check\, and return it by Father’s Day.  Instructions are in each bottle to make collecting for Bright Hope a breeze. This is a great way to get everyone in the family involved in raising awareness and funds for the only pregnancy support center in the Lehigh Valley.  The funds raised will directly support the Allentown and Easton Centers. To fund a no-cost pregnancy test & ultrasound appointment for one client\, it is $194\, and that is only ONE of the services they offer.  Questions can be directed to Chris DeGanci. \n\n\n\nNOTE: We recommend writing a check directly to Bright Hope. This is the best way for them to receive and accurately count your donation. If you decide to send coins in\, please DO NOT wrap them. This would be a tremendous help to the Bright Hope staff and volunteers so they can focus more of their attention on serving students\, clients\, and Door of Hope moms.

SUMMARY:Shut-In Ministry
DESCRIPTION:Each of us are called\, as a member of our church family\, not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together (Hebrews 10:24-25).  But there are some members of our spiritual family unable to do so.  What a blessing and inspiration it would be for many of them if we could take just a few minutes each month to reach out to them (e.g.\, phone call\, letter/card\, email/text\, in-person visit).  If you would be interested in “adopting” a shut-in\, please make it a point to contact either Steve McDaniel or Alan Finkelstein for more information.

SUMMARY:Fresh Encounter: Joint Adult Elective
DESCRIPTION:All adults are invited to join us in the Gym for a “Fresh Encounter.” This is a time for us to hear the Word\, pray the Word\, and sing the Word together. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to come together in fellowship and grow in praying the Scriptures. Pastor Josh will lead us in focusing on Psalm 130: “But With You There Is Forgiveness.” He will be emphasizing four main points from this Psalm: True Repentance\, Full Forgiveness\, Grounded Patience\, and Our Confident Plea. For each of these points we will hear teaching\, spend time in prayer\, and sing a song rooted in the truths of the Psalm.

SUMMARY:Reformed Theology Conference
DESCRIPTION:Registration has closed for this Event \n\n\n\nCome join many people from Ebenezer BFC at this weekend conference\, 7pm Fri – 3pm Sat. “Revive Us\, O Lord” is this year’s theme. We are living in the times Paul warned Timothy about in 2 Timothy when the Church will not endure sound teaching. There are many signs that the evangelical church has lost its way in an age of inclusivism and relativism. We have heard reports of revival\, but can they be trusted? What are the marks of true revival? This conference is led by Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals and held at Grace BFC in Quakertown. $35/person. Transportation in church van available. Questions can be directed to Pastor Scott Wright. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCHURCH VANWant to Ride In the Church Van? If so\, please indicate it on your registration form. There is no extra fee. Open to the first 30 inquiries. Here is the schedule for the VAN only. (The Conference Schedule is listed below.)Friday 5pm – Depart Ebenezer BFCFriday\, 10pm – Return to Ebenezer BFCSaturday\, 8am – Depart Ebenezer BFCSaturday\, 4:15pm – Return to Ebenezer BFC \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSPEAKERSMichael BarrettDavid GarnerJuan Sanchez \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLOCATIONGrace Bible Fellowship Church1811 Old Bethlehem PikeQuakertown\, PA 18951 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCONFERENCE DESCRIPTIONWe live in times Paul warned Timothy about in 2 Timothy\, “For the time is coming\,” Paul told his young protégé\, “when people will not endure sound teaching\, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions\, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.” Paul is not talking about the world at large but about the Church. And there are many signs that the evangelical church has lost its way in an age of inclusivism and relativism. \n\n\n\nGod has blessed the Church with great periods of revival\, and even today; we hear reports of revivals in places near and far. Can they be trusted? What are the marks of true revival\, and why do we need it? The Psalmist pleaded to God in Psalm 85:6\, “Will you not revive us again\, that your people may rejoice in you?” \n\n\n\nThe late J.I. Packer once wrote\, “Revival is the visitation of God which brings to life Christians who have been sleeping and restores a deep sense of God’s near presence and holiness.” Clearly\, the church needs a time of awakening\, a recommitment to the Word of God\, repentance and renewed piety\, and a new and genuine fear of God confirmed by a new commitment to obedience from the heart. \n\n\n\nThe Quakertown Conference on Reformed Theology\, a partnered event with the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals now in its 16th year of proclaiming the truths of Scripture through excellent teaching that promotes the whole counsel of God as found in His Word\, is excited to focus on revival as the theme of its 2023 Conference. Revive Us\, O Lord is scheduled for November 10-11\, 2023\, at Grace Bible Fellowship Church in Quakertown with speakers Michael Barrett\, David Garner\, and Juan Sanchez. We know you will be blessed as we worship together and by sitting under the faithful proclamation of the Word. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCONFERENCE SCHEDULEFriday\, November 10\, 20236:00 p.m. Registration7:00 p.m. Session One – Why Am I So Dry?\, Juan Sanchez8:15 p.m. Session Two – Remember Jesus Christ\, David Garner \n\n\n\nSaturday\, November 11\, 20238:00 a.m. Late Registration9:00 a.m. Session Three – The Mechanics of Personal Revival\, Michael Barrett10:15 a.m. Session Four – The Work of the Holy Spirit in Revival\, Juan Sanchez11:30 a.m. Lunch at area restaurants1:00 p.m. Session Five – Reviving the Church\, Michael Barrett2:15 p.m. Session Six – Wake up! We look forward to seeing you there! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWant to Help?VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR COMMUNITY WEEKENDThere is a lot to do to get ready for our outdoor Community Weekend! SUMMARY:VBS Sunday School
DESCRIPTION:“Keepers of the Kingdom” is the theme of this special program for age 4 – grade 5. Your kids will learn how they can be part of God’s kingdom through salvation in his Son and will be equipped with the armor of God to become Keepers of the Kingdom and stand strong in today’s battle for truth. Although we’re not holding a traditional VBS this summer\, we’ll be holding this mini-VBS during the Sunday School hour. Kids will spend time in worship\, a dynamic Bible lesson\, and a craft/science experiment. No need to register. Feel free to invite your friends! Kids will be separated into two age groups (age 4 – grade 1\, and grades 2-5) – but everyone will gather in room 16 to begin. \n\n\n\nDrop-off for all ages is in Room 16/18.Pick-up for age 4 – grade 1 is Room 15.  Pick-up for grades 2-5 is Room 16/18. \n\n\n\nDue to some construction in the building we are unable to have our traditional 1-week VBS in the end of June.  However\, we’re excited to offer this taste of VBS during Sunday School for a few weeks! Questions can be directed to Jennifer Schanely\, Children’s Ministry Director.
