Community Weekend

The entire community is invited to a weekend of FREE outdoor events! Everything will be held on our front lawn under a big tent. All events, food, and beverages are provided free of charge. No need to register, just come!

• OUTDOOR MOVIE
  Friday, Sept 8, 6:30pm
  “Super Mario Bros. Movie” Join us for a free family-friendly movie and free popcorn & beverages. We’ll have chairs set up, but, for added comfort, feel free to bring along your own camp chair or blanket (space will be available in the front for those sitting on blankets). There will also be lawn games for those interested.

• OUTDOOR COFFEEHOUSE
  Saturday, Sept 9, 6:30 pm
  Enjoy live music from Ebenezer musicians as well as local church bands and free coffee and refreshments.

• OUTDOOR SERVICE & PICNIC
  Sunday, Sept 10, 10:30 am
  An outdoor worship service for the whole church & community! Afterward we’ll be serving up a free picnic! Bring a camp chair and/or blanket if you’d like to sit out on the lawn. (Chairs are provided for seating in the tent.)
  **Please Carpool: Please bring as few cars with you as possible on Sunday morning so that we have enough parking space for everyone.

**IN CASE OF INCLEMENT WEATHER: (as of 2pm, 9/8/2023)
If it is raining, the events will continue in the tent as planned (we’ll have the side panels on the tent).  If there is lightening, events will be moved into the church. 

• Friday Movie – For tonight, we have decided to definitely show the movie in the tent at 6:30pm as originally planned. 
• Saturday Coffeehouse – It will definitely be held at 6:30pm.  A decision regarding the location will be made on Saturday morning.  If lightening is expected, we will move the musical performance into the sanctuary, and refreshments will be served in the lobby.
• Sunday Worship Service – It is looking very good for us to be able to meet in the tent at 10:30am as originally planned. If needed, we’ll have an extra tent from which to serve lunch. However, a definite decision will be made Saturday night. If lightening is expected, we will need to move the worship service into the sanctuary at the normal times of 8:30 & 11:15 am, and sandwiches will be handed out after each service for people to take home and enjoy.  Any schedule changes will be communicated on Saturday night via email, website, facebook, and app notification.

UPDATE (as of 9pm, 9/9/2023) – It’s dry in the tent! We are definitely holding the Sunday Worship service in the tent at 10:30am tomorrow morning, rain or shine. Picnic lunch will be served afterward. We look forward to seeing you there!
