KIDS CROSSING

(For children age 0 – grade 5)

Being a parent is both wonderful and overwhelming at times. We believe that parents are responsible before the Lord for the training up of their children, but, praise God, He has also given us the church. You are not alone!

Kids Crossing Ebenezer BFC Children’s Ministry exists to assist you as parents to lay a strong Biblical foundation, and love of Jesus Christ in the lives of your children.  We are committed to making disciples by drawing children into the presence of God through worship, Bible memorization, Bible lessons, and practical application. It’s our desire to partner with parents as we teach with relevant curriculum, which emphasizes God’s plan of redemption!

Questions regarding any Kids Crossing Program can be directed to our Children’s Ministry Director, Jennifer Schanely (610-868-5501).

SUNDAY MORNINGS

Gospel Project

Cross Time Sunday School (age 4 – grade 5) is a time of age-based discipleship. We use the Gospel Project material published by LifeWay Christian Resources which provides comprehensive, chronological Bible lessons and allows all age groups to learn the same material in an age-appropriate setting. Parent resources, visual aids, and apps are also provided to enable parents to further disciple their children and learn God’s Word together as a family. Class is held 10:05 – 11:00 am.

Children’s Church (age 4 – Kindergarten, based on age as of September 1) provides a time of fellowship, Bible lessons, and fun activities for children. We use the Gospel Project worship material published by LifeWay Christian Resources, which corresponds with and compliments our children’s Sunday School lessons. Children’s Church is only available during second service. Children are dismissed from the worship service before the sermon.

Nursery Care  (0-23 months, based on age as of September 1)
Available during the 8:30 Worship Service, 10:05 Sunday School, and 11:15 Worship Service

Early Childhood Program (2 & 3 year-olds, based on age as of September 1)

Volunteers
Our Kids Club is in need of volunteers who love children and have a heart for discipleship! Help is needed in small groups, games, or our preschool program. If you can’t commit on a regular basis, consider volunteering as a substitute. Small group discipleship will be a key component of our Wednesday evening Kids club. The more leaders we have, the more effectively we can disciple the kids and grow in relationship with one another! Please prayerfully consider serving. Adults and teens are welcome! Teachers who would enjoy teaching a lesson to the large group once or twice a semester are also needed (membership required). Questions can be directed to Jennifer Schanely.  To sign up, please fill out the Children’s Ministry Volunteer Application

CAMPS & RETREATS

Winter Blast is a weekend retreat typically in February at Victory Valley Camp. Kids can grow spiritually from age-appropriate Bible lessons and enjoy plenty of fun activities while strengthening relationships with friends and leaders.

Summer Camp is a week-long retreat in July or August that is held at Victory Valley. Ebenezer usually runs a van to one of the 5-day Day Camps, but kids can also sign up for the 6-day overnight camp on their own. Activities include archery, swimming, ropes & challenge courses, Capture the Flag, hiking, crafts, and Bible lessons.

Children are supervised by Victory Valley’s trained counselors and staff, as well as chaperones from Ebenezer BFC. Check the Kids Crossing Calendar for this year’s dates & registration information.
