Women’s Retreat 2026

WHAT:
It’s retreat time again, ladies!! We are so thrilled to be welcoming you to our 8th Annual Retreat at the Ladore Conference Center in Waymart, Pa. This is a great weekend of fellowship and study and fun. You do not want to miss out! The weekend includes 4 sessions with teaching, praise and worship, as well as times for fellowship, games, meals and recreational activities! For ladies age 18 and up.

DATES/TIMES:
May 15-17, 2026, Fri-Sun
Friday – arrive 4-6pm
Sunday – retreat concludes at 1pm

SPEAKER:
Cherie Leatherman – Cherie’s primary passion is God’s Word. She loves studying not to gain knowledge, but to better know the God that is revealed to us in the Bible. Her second passion is sharing her love for His Word with other women. She does this through her writing and through teaching women in Loving the Word Ministry and Rooted Women’s Bible Study as well as at a variety of women’s events, to see and know God through the study of His Word. Cherié also serves as Women’s Ministry Director at her local church. Cherié is a wife, mother, and grandmother. She has been married to Keith since 1989. Their son Austin and his wife Sarah and their 3 children live in north central PA. Their son Colton and his wife Jasmine live in Maryland. When she is not studying, writing, or spending time with her family, she enjoys spending time learning to cook healthy foods for her family and watching British television…anything that has to do with solving murders in remote English villages or the epic Jane Austen movies.

THEME:
“In View of God’s Mercies”: We will be studying Romans 12 for the weekend, focusing especially on Romans 12:1, “Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters in view of God’s mercy to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God, this is your true and proper worship.“

COST:
$211/person (3 in a room – third person is on a cot)
$241/person (2 in a room)
$361/person (1 in a room)

Includes: program, 6 meals, 2 night’s lodging, linens/towels. Payment is due at the time of registration. Sorry, no exceptions. Partial scholarships are available; please indicate when you register if you need assistance. A small fee will be added for those paying by credit/debit card.

CRAFT:
Join us for an optional craft on Saturday afternoon. Cost is $5/person. Sandy Galloway will be leading us in a simple sewing project of felt animals. To participate, you must register & pay ahead of time (on your registration form).

LODGING:
Ladore is here to make your experience one you will want to repeat. Priced right with a flexible venue to fit your needs, a conference at Ladore will strengthen you as an individual, as a group member, but most importantly as a follower of Christ.
Rooms: All rooms have their own private bath. Double & triple rooms have 2 double beds and a cot. Single rooms have one king bed. Handicap accessible rooms with a roll-in shower with seat are available upon request. Special dietary needs can be accommodated.

CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT:
Check-in is 4-6 pm on Friday, March 21, 2025. Women will receive their room assignments at the registration table in the main lobby. We need to check out of our rooms by 9:00am on Sunday. Luggage can be put into cars & vans at that time. Our last session will then begin at 9:15am on Sunday. Our weekend will conclude after lunch on Sunday at about 1pm.

MEALS:
Six meals will be provided: 1 on Friday, 3 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday. We will have a light meal available Friday evening after check-in. The rest of the meals will be served promptly by the Ladore staff at the time indicated on the schedule.

FREE TIME:
Ladore provides many activities including: Grand Patio, miniature golf, bocce, shuffleboard, horseshoe pits, game room, fitness room, indoor pool & hot tub, walking paths, gift shop. Canoes and rowboats may be available for a fee of $15/day.

TRANSPORTATION:
Transportation is on your own. It takes about 90 minutes to get to the Ladore Conference Center from church. You are welcome to drive by yourself or set up a carpool with others.
