SnoGlo Youth Retreat

WHAT
SnoGlo is an exciting, spiritually challenging, all-inclusive winter retreat for our youth group (grades 6-12). Held at Pinebrook in the Pocono Mountains, the weekend consists of solid biblical teaching, worship, and activities that encourage youth to grow in their walk with the Lord and connect with other youth across the Bible Fellowship denomination. Throughout the weekend youth have the option to participate in a wide variety of events including sports tournaments, arts competitions, board games, snack shop, and more. The weekend consists of four teaching session and additional breakout sessions for youth groups to gather together for discussion and prayer.

50% Discount for Siblings (*Must be registered at the same time to receive discount.)

TALENT COMPETITION
Submit a video (less than 5 minutes) by January 14, 2027. Talents can be anything from singing to juggling to skits to comedy sketches. TALENTS MUST BE ABLE TO BE PERFORMED ON STAGE. Talents are judged on creativity (connecting to the weekend theme: One Gospel is a bonus), ability, and time (under 5 minutes in length).

ART COMPETITION
We have an art room full of supplies where artists can create a piece based on the theme of the weekend: One Gospel and enter it into the SnoGlo art show. (Artists can also bring any of their own materials or can work on their ideas prior to the weekend and bring it with them.) All artwork must be completed by 4:30pm on Saturday so we can get it displayed for all to enjoy.

SPORTS COMPETITION
During the weekend, we will have several athletic opportunities. Most of these will be inside (dodgeball, volleyball, knockout, gaga, and 9 square) but we will also have some outdoor activities, weather permitting (football and ultimate frisbee). Students are encouraged to bring clothing suitable for these activities.

FREE TIME OPTIONS
Apart from our sport competitions and art room, students will be able to swim in the indoor pool, play in the game room (pool, ping pong, air hockey, and various board games – feel free to bring your favorite game to play too!), visit the gift shop and snack shop (business hours listed on schedule), or go sledding on an awesome sledding hill (weather permitting).

SPEAKER
Pastor Chris Von Holt has been on staff at Cedar Crest BFC (Allentown) since 2016 and currently serves as Senior Associate Pastor, overseeing adult ministries and the curriculum taught throughout their church. He is a graduate of Maranatha Baptist University and is pursuing his MDiv through the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife Courtney have been married since 2013 and have three children: Theodore, Guinevere, and Rosemary.

MUSICIANS: On the Way
On The Way (or OTW, as the kids say) is Cairn University’s traveling worship band. OTW travels to camps and conferences throughout the academic year and the summer to lead worship from their distinct style blend of modern hymns and contemporary worship music.

LODGING
Most rooms have two sets of bunk beds, a queen bed, and an ensuite bathroom.  Each room will have one adult chaperone.

– winter coat
– bathroom items: soap, shampoo/conditioner, toothbrush/toothpaste, etc.
– optional: modest one-piece swimsuit & towel (indoor pool will be open)
