Outdoor Worship Service & Picnic
Sunday, September 10, 2017
You won’t want to miss this combined outdoor worship service and free catered lunch! This is a perfect day to bring friends and family as we celebrate the Lord’s goodness together. It’s a rare opportunity for our entire church family to get together for a time of corporate worship and fellowship! We’ll be meeting under a big tent on the front lawn. The service will start at 10:30 am, with lunch afterward at about 12 noon. The menu will include hamburgers & hot dogs with all the sides. Chairs will be provided, but feel free to bring a camp chair & blanket for the picnic. To help with parking, please bring just one car per family if possible. No adult electives, Sunday school, nursery, or children’s church will be held. (Rain date is September 17.) There is NO CHARGE for this event, but we ask that you please sign up online (https://form NULL.jotform NULL.us/72214799745165) to help us plan. Also, we will need help with set-up and clean-up, so if you are willing, please sign up (https://form NULL.jotform NULL.us/72214799745165) for that too online.

Kids age 3 – grade 5 won’t want to miss this year’s Awana program! It offers a fun (and effective!) approach to early evangelism and discipleship. Scripture-based programs and exciting games promote Bible literacy and help kids develop lifelong faith in Christ.
Awana helps churches and parents work together to develop spiritually strong children who faithfully follow Jesus Christ. The Awana program offers a unique approach for evangelizing and discipling kids in the church and community, through Bible memorization, hearing the teaching of God’s Word, learning to play and work together, and learning to serve Christ by serving others. Awana includes parents in much of this as they listen to their book sections at home and check them off accordingly.

Beginning Sept 17, 2017
To provide much needed fellowship time between periods on Sunday mornings, our first service will be moved to 8:30 am. Sunday school will remain at 10:05 and second service will remain at 11:15 am. We will also begin hosting a time for coffee & fellowship in the Serving Room between first service and Sunday school (approx. 9:45 – 10:05 am). We are excited to kick off the fall with these new times, and look forward to how the Lord will work through our times of fellowship together.
Sunday Evenings, beginning September 17, 2017
Kinship Groups are about building lasting relationships with families in our church. They consist of small groups (10-15 on average) who meet bi-weekly from September – May. The purpose of Kinship Groups is to share faith and life issues, and engage in “one-anothering” as prescribed in Scripture in a way not possible in a larger group setting. Normally, this is done as groups meet in various homes and involve themselves in Bible discussion, fellowship, prayer, and outreach ministries. If you are currently not involved in a Kinship group, please see the table in the foyer on August 20 & 27 for information. To sign up, just fill out the personal information card at the table, and you will be contacted in 2-3 weeks.

The Bethel Series is a comprehensive study of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation in a classroom lecture format. Graduates find this course to be challenging but highly rewarding with life-changing benefits. Due to the intensity of the material, participation will require a high level of commitment to reading, memorization, and regular attendance from beginning to end. The class is for men & women, consists of six 7-week sessions, and spans over 2 years, Oct-May. The first year covers the Old Testament, and the second year covers the New Testament. Taught by Pastor Dick. Cost is $55/year for materials. Use the envelopes in the foyer to register & pay by September 17.
January 18-26, 2018
