1) 1&2 Thessalonians: Be Ready – EXP 310, Taught by Phil Norris, Room 2

Experience eternity. Today.

During His life and ministry, Christ assured the apostles that He would one day return for His people. But how should this future event affect our lives today?

In Paul’s letter to the Thessalonians, he reveals that the promise of Christ’s return is more than a doctrine of our faith. It is a remarkable truth that can shape how we live, how we connect, and how we view ministry.

In this class, we will share how Christ’s powerful promise can impact every aspect of life. So be encouraged. Be revived. And BE Ready.

2) Shepherding a Child’s HeartTOP110, Taught by Chris Jones, Gym-South

Shepherding a Child’s Heart is about how to speak to the heart of your child (Luke 6:45). Written for parents with children of any age, this insightful book provides perspectives and procedures for shepherding your child’s heart into the paths of life.

In this revised edition, Dr. Tedd Tripp draws on his thirty years’ experience as a pastor, counselor, school administrator, and father, and shares insights gained in many years of teaching this material in conferences worldwide.

3) Deception, Discernment, PrudenceEXP220, Taught by Lee Ciccotelli, Room 20

Deception is everywhere.

Deception permeates every aspect of our lives in this sin-infested world. Deception harms us in many ways. We need discernment to identify deception and to know by whom, how, and why we are deceived.

We need prudence to deal with deception and its consequences.

Join us for this in-depth study; the course textbook is the Bible.

“The wisdom of the prudent is to discern his way, but the folly of fools is deceiving.” (Proverbs 14:8, ESV)

5) JeremiahEXP309, Taught by Michael Hard, Gym-North

Jeremiah, often called the “weeping prophet” because of his sorrow over the persistent message of God’s judgment, prophesied to the nation of Judah from the reign of King Josiah in 627 b.c. until sometime after the destruction of Jerusalem in 586 b.c. He dictated his prophecies to a scribe named Baruch (36:4, 32).

Jeremiah’s task as a prophet was to declare the coming judgment of God. However, throughout the book we also see God’s concern for repentance and righteousness in individuals as well as nations. This dual focus is seen in God’s instructions to Jeremiah: he was “to pluck up and to break down” but also “to build and to plant” (1:10). Jeremiah sees a future day when God will write his law on human hearts, and “they shall all know me,” and “I will remember their sin no more” (31:33–34)
