James – Exp319
Taught by: Pastor Dick Bickings
Room: Fellowship Hall, South
One of the earliest, perhaps the first, New Testament book to be written was the epistle of James. Its practical, non-doctrinal emphasis reveals the kind of message God wanted to share with the Christian community in published form very soon after Jesus ascended to heaven. In this short and powerful book, the apostle James gives us practical guidance on issues that measure true and living faith through an emphasis on spiritual fruitfulness. Join us as we climb to the mountain’s top to discover how to live a life that demonstrates genuine, saving faith marked by godly behavior.

Ezekiel (Part 3 of 3) – Exp324
Taught by: Scott Holwick
Room: Fellowship Hall, North
Ezekiel prophesies among the Jewish exiles in Babylon during the last days of Judah’s decline and downfall. His ministry is in some ways similar to that of his older contemporary, Jeremiah. But while Jeremiah delivers a chilling message of destruction in Jerusalem, Ezekiel brings a warming message of reconstruction in Babylon. Jeremiah is a man of tears, Ezekiel is a man of visions. And those visions stretch from horror to hope; from condemnation upon Judah’s faithless leaders and godless foes, to consolation regarding Judah’s future. Through it all, mankind would see the glory of Israel’s
sovereign God, and “they shall know that I am the Lord” (6:10).
Ezekiel, as a watchman for Israel, warned her of the judgment that was imminent and stressed the need for individual responsibility as well as national accountability before God. Each Israelite was personally to turn to the Lord. Likewise, the whole nation must ultimately return to him. Join us as we study the message of this watchman and apply its truth to our lives today.

Following Jesus in a Post-Christian Culture – Top230
Taught by: Tim Zuck
Room: Room 9 (Serving Room)
In the Wizard of Oz, Dorothy anxiously said to Toto, “We’re not in Kansas Anymore.” As the culture in America becomes increasingly antagonistic toward all things Christian, we too realize “We’re not in Kansas anymore.” Our Christian influence upon society is dissipating before our very eyes. It seems we are losing traction. What are we to do? “Following Jesus in a Post-Christian Culture” will inform and equip participants to navigate through unfamiliar territory by examining the eternal guidance of 1 Peter.
During our study we will cover the following:
- Be Informed (1:1, 2:11)
Know the Times
Know Your Identity - Be Hopeful (1:3-4)
- Be Joyful (1:5)
- Be Holy (1:13-2:11)
- Get a Grip on God’s Word (1 Pt. 2:1-3)
- Do Good (2:12, 15); – March 29
- Be Civil (2:12-25) – April 5
- Be Prepared to Suffer (1Pt. 3:8-4:12)- April 12
- Be A Great Steward (4:7-11)-April 19
- Be Humble (5:1-7) – April 26
- Be Alert (5:8-9) – May 3
So join us as we study God’s word to be the reflection of Jesus to the world.
